Itinerary check up please!
I posted a while ago asking for a review of an AI generated itinerary and you all were so helpful! We (family of five, children ages 8-13) will be visiting for four days the first week of April. We are staying in Long Island City. We can go hard all day and are explorers at heart, but I want to leave flexibility in our days and stay open minded based on the weather. We generally love the outdoors and don’t normally do big city trips so we’re excited to do something different this vacation. Here’s what I’m thinking, I’d love your thoughts and maybe suggests to eat? Thanks!!
Day 1
Arrive NYC mid morning, drop bags at hotel, lunch near Central Park. If time to kill hang out in park. Visit Museum of Natural History 1:30-5:30 (tickets purchased), back to LIC for dinner and restful evening at hotel.
Day 2
Breakfast at hotel. Ellis Island visit booked for 10:30, stop by Oculus, 9/11 Memorial on the way. After Statue visit, explore Chinatown, dinner there, back to hotel.
Day 3
Breakfast at hotel. Kinokumiya, Bryant Park, Grand Central, NYPL (flexible, will decide based on weather), John’s Pizza for lunch, possibly take to Washington Square Park for picnic and hang, maybe visit Evolution Store. Empire State Building at 2:00 (booked). Museum of Ice Cream afterward. Dinner TBD.
Day 4
Hotel breakfast or maybe bagels. Central Park (flexible). Possibly Serendipity for lunch. The MET or MoMA. Dinner TBD. Quick visit to Times Square. Top of the Rock at 9:00. (I see everyone discouraging two observation decks but one is day time and one is night. Thoughts?)
