PSVR2 controller shuts off during charging

So I recently bought a used psvr2 that looks like it’s in excellent condition, and the right controller has been having issues charging. I’ll plug it in, come back later and find that it’s not charging. I’ve tried the pinhole trick and while that does fix the issue temporarily, I’ll try to charge it again and come back and it’s not charging again. It does seem to get warmer than the left controller while charging.

I cant find anything online about these controllers getting to warm or anything.

And yes I’ve checked the cables and inputs they all looks great. Tried different cables, charging blocks, the ps5, etc. right now it seems to be charging fine all of a sudden but I have a feeling it will happen again. Am I missing something? In new to this VR system so anything helps!
