First post and need some guidance.

I’ve been itching at thought of upgrading my from iPhone 15PM to the S26+ or S26 Ultra. I’ve had an iPhone consistently since the iPhone 6. I’m currently deep in the Apple ecosystem with an iPad and MacBook, but these devices are almost exclusively used for school so an Android phone device won’t affect my use of those devices individually. New iPhones for the past couple years have felt kinda stale to me and I’ve consistently thought about a new phone experience hence the interest in a new platform.

There’s three big things I would want to upgrade with a new device:

Battery life

Camera quality

Reduction in weight

I tried both S26U and S26+ in store and they both feel great although the S26+ did feel better in my smaller hand. The iPhone 17PM has a significantly better battery life than the Samsung phones, but I’d be willing to give up some battery life for faster charging. The camera quality may be up to the user’s preferences between iPhone and Samsung, but I would love to know how you all compare the two. The weight is already a big improvement across the board when testing all the new phone options in comparison to my 15PM.

With that being said, any new device whether iPhone or Galaxy will be an upgrade from my current phone. I want to know what everyone’s personal experience or thoughts on the switch from iPhone to Samsung. Would you compromise the having a smaller form factor over the better camera between the S26U and S26+? Are there any cons for someone having a Samsung in a group of people with mostly iPhones when it comes to communication? Are there any iPhone exclusive features you can’t live without?

Thanks for sharing!
