Morning sickness WORSE in the second trimester?
I’m currently 14.5 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. My first (successful) pregnancy was ROUGH due to severe morning sickness that lasted until well into the 3rd trimester.
Once again, my morning sickness is terrible and has gotten noticeably worse as I head into the second trimester (again). It’s gotten so bad that I’ve lost 7 pounds in the last month.
I’ve tried Reglan and Zofran, both of which made zero impact. The only thing that has helped is vitamin B6 and Unisom before bed. Even with the meds, I sometimes have really rough days. On good days, I feel nauseous all day and often violently throw up at least once per day.
Last week, I forgot to take my meds one night. The next day, I threw up 20+ times and couldn’t even keep a single bite of food or sip of water down all day. I felt extremely dehydrated and weak and almost went to the hospital.
Last pregnancy was rough but this time around I am working full time, spouse is away for work for an extended time and I have a toddler + 3 pets to care for.
Has anyone experienced something similar with worsening morning sickness in the second trimester? Has anyone found anything that helps?
Not asking for medical advice - looking for things to bring up to my OB.
