Best drum kit for the value?

Planning to upgrade. Currently have a 5 piece (including snare). Looking at either a 4 or 5 piece. I'm not looking for the most affordable kit (although affordable is good!). I'm talking about getting tremendous value for the price you pay, whether it be $1,000 or $5,000. Thanks in advance!
