Chicco Bravo Primo Stroller - seat stuck in stroller- Tips to Help?

First day with the Chico Bravo Primo and about sure it's defective. Putting the seat into the stroller, it becomes close to impossible to take out. The orange release handle is so hard to squeeze / release that I almost gave up and partner can't do it.

Took out the seat itself, so no fabric is in the way. Problem persists.

Already installed base in the car and seat goes in out of that no problem. Customer service line not open until monday. Please anyone with experience let me know what worked for you. Real third trimester tears in this house.
