Frustrated but Understanding

I accepted this long-term role for another teacher while I was in another long-term role back in November. This was great for me, it really worked with my schedule and everything. It was supposed to start on a certain date, but was delayed about a week, taking a week of the job away. I got an email from the teacher today that the job won’t start on Monday like it was supposed to. What’s frustrating about it, I don’t know when it is going to begin and secondly, the job won’t be removed until Monday morning, potentially preventing me from picking up a job on Monday. My district also runs on a policy that after 20 days in a certain position, you get additional money. Now, I don’t know if the position will go for the 20 plus days or if it will be shorter.

I understand the reasons for the change but it is overall just a frustrating circumstance as it changes my plans and potentially takes me out of a job for at least a day.
