The Mystery of the Purple Ball
Very bizarre and random story but I find it decently funny looking back.
Like 10 years ago in 5th grade my friend left his wool hat unattended and I thought it would be funny to just fill it with random stuff. I put some bits of paper and a purple ball(?) in it, and when he put it on and felt the stuff on his head he had a legitimate crash out. I was a little alarmed but realized that he somehow didn't think it was me who put the stuff in his hat. He started going around the class and interrogating everyone and I just let it happen cause I was curious where it would lead. There was a pair of twins in our class that pseudo-worshipped my friend for reasons best known to themselves, so they launched a full-on investigation to find the perpetrator. At one point, one of them came up to me and stared into my eyes for 0 seconds while being like 1 foot away from my nose and then pronounced that I was "innocent" after supposedly peering into my thoughts.
Recently told my friend that I was the kid who filled his hat with random junk and he didn't even remember the incident lol.
