i don’t understand why people have kids?

i just needed to say it somewhere because i’m too scared of being seen as some sort of emotionless sociopath lol. but i literally do not get it at all. all it does is make your life worse and ruin EVERY chance you possibly have at living a free and happy life, you’re permanently tied down to something that screams and shits itself 24/7, that sounds like my worst fucking nightmare. and that whole debacle about “you’ll change your mind!!” is bs. i recently babysat for the first couple times and all it did was make me want kids even less. i make sure the baby has every single need met and that he is happy, but I NEVER want that for myself!!! if i get to chose between a life where my money gets spent on whatever i want, i can do whatever i want when i want, nobody depends on me, and i don’t have to watch a child experience the same asthma, spinal deformity, OCD, anxiety, addiction, depression, and genetic susceptibility to severe psychosis, cancer, and epilepsy that i have, as opposed to the opposite, then there’s a very damn clear option that i want.
