Roku tv remote doesn't work

My roku tv remote doesn't work, and a couple days ago I used the roku app to use the remote feature but then now the app is telling me to reconnect to the tv but its not reconnecting. Does anyone know a way to reboot my remote or tv? Or an app that works as a remote control?
