How do i stop being racist
I need to be completely honest: I am racist really racist and I know it’s wrong, and I don’t want to be this way, but even when I try, I can’t seem to stop.
I’m not looking for excuses or arguments — I just want to change. because I know this mindset hurts others and doesn’t reflect the person I want to be. I’m struggling to find practical ways to actually stop thinking this way, not just hide it or pretend it’s not there.
I’m asking for advice from anyone who has worked on their own biases, or from people who know strategies to confront deep-seated racist thoughts. What exercises, habits, or mental practices can help someone retrain their mind and stop automatically thinking in racist ways? How do you go from recognizing you’re racist to actually changing your behavior and thoughts?
I really want to do better and be someone who doesn’t harm others through my thoughts or actions. I’m open to books, videos, therapy methods, personal exercises — anything that works. I just don’t know where to start on this.
Thanks for any honest advice.
