A practical and philosophical dilemma
Ok, so with get Too explicit, I have found myself in a kind of good dilemma. Which has sparked a multi part question.
Setup: tried growing for the first time. Expecting a fair amount of failure. Ended up with 92%+ success rate. ( granted …good chance beginners luck)
Ended up with WAY more than I need/could use even after giving away half.
I actually really enjoyed the process! It was fun! But of course it irrational to keep going at the rate I was just to throw it away or create a stockpile that will degrade before it could be given away or used!
So…. The dilemma:
Any ideas?! Obviously we can’t get into it TOO much….but I don’t know that many people and I am not adept at reaching out …especially in person.
Happy to have any input
On to the philosophical portion:
Assuming all potential grower have half the success rate of this…I would hazard to guess ( without doing any REAL math) that the whole community could potentially grow enough ( as a hobby) to supply the whole world ( well maybe just the US) …at a healthy rate of consumption. ( now of course I will do some extrapolative math after this)
So how do we as a community address the excess?
( I would love for this to be decriminalized at least and share freely….buuuuut…we are not there yet)
Bonus for any suggestions that could ( even if not currently viable) lead to a means that supports my hobby…😉. But that’s not really expected.
