Eye spy charm

Looked up how to kill the chunk as grace and there was a cliff note stating that if you reload the save, after killing chunk and looting the charm, to before you kill the chunk, the charm appears in your stash box, but ive looted the charm and reloaded the save but the charm is not in my stash box, was the info wrong or was it patched out?
