how the hell do yall like fitz?

I am speaking specifically to the Fitz lovers here, I know yall are there. Why do you guys like him? He sucks sooo bad, he's a terrible person. The elevator scene alone should've been enough. I want genuine answers please. Why do you guys like him even after seeing that? And don't worry about spoiling, I already finished the show.
