How Do You Choose the Right Synthetic Ice?
Last Saturday I was sitting with my cousin in the backyard just talking about sports and activities we could try at home. We were discussing ice skating and how much fun it would be to practice without needing a real rink. I was surprised to know that synthetic ice panels exist that can be installed at home for skating practice. Especially we were thinking about durability, smoothness, and how safe it would be for beginners. We visited a nearby sports shop but they only had basic skating accessories and nothing like synthetic ice.
Eventually my cousin suggested that we should check online marketplaces to see more options. Therefore scrolling online marketplaces like alibaba and a few others I was amazed by the huge variety of synthetic ice panels. Some were interlocking tiles for small practice areas and some came in larger sheets for more professional setups. They came in different thicknesses, surface finishes and price ranges depending on quality and size. I realized how many choices we completely miss when relying only on local stores.
So what do you think is the best way to choose synthetic ice for home practice? Should we focus more on material quality, size or price when buying from local stores or online marketplaces?
