Kaiser As Secondary

California - Northern

So, a very long very convoluted story. My husband has top tier Kaiser through work which I am covered as a spouse on, and I have a mandatory Blue Cross insurance through my work (separate EPO/IPO - closed small network with high deductible and no coverage out of network other than emergency rooms).

My insurance is mandatory through our union. When we got insurance we called and Kaiser said I could continue going to Kaiser.

Now, we just found that despite me doing COORDINATION OF BENEFITS 14 times throughout these 2 years, they have been removing it when billing. Grievance was opened, it was permanently added, and now old claims are being sent to my primary (BlueCross) to deny, which they are, and we are waiting to find out if Kaiser will cover them.

I’ve heard from billing & grievances and get different answers about whether or not they will. All medical appointments and claims are from Kaiser at Kaiser.

So here’s where I’m stressed-

I’m 20 weeks pregnant, and went to Kaiser before we found out about this claims mess. Now, I haven’t had care in 4 weeks and missed my 20 week anatomy scan purely out of anxiety.

Am I able to Continue using Kaiser if it is my secondary? Will they cover after the original denies?

There seems to be no “we won’t cover” clause in any EOB.
