What projects have you built using Claude Code?
A lot of people on here like to harp on LLMs and coding assistants for producing poor quality code/ not being as productive with them compared to without. I will say, that you definitely need to have a cursory understanding of software development and what you're wanting to get done, how you're wanting to accomplish it, what coding style / design style you want to conform to, etc.
It reminds me a bit of that scene from the Limitless movie, where the brother of the ex-wife of Bradley Cooper's character offers him the drug, and later on says that it works best if you're already somewhat smart. I view coding agents in the same regard, they are tools that are best when you know what you're doing (as well as how to scrutinize the output they produce).
With that said, I have had a mostly positive experience with Claude Code. I managed to complete a few Python projects (one in particular that I had been working on | off from since ~2020, and finally managed to complete in roughly two weeks of evening work (in total, probably 5-8 hours of combined work). It's a package for interfacing with a specific http type protocol (not as popular these days) but we use it at my job. We were using a no longer maintained library in a different language and I wanted to get it done in Python, and was finally able to do so.
I also completed a pytest plugin for a specific use case that no one else had done as thoroughly or as feature rich.
I completed a CLI tool for use at work, using Click and a neat library called prompt-toolkit.
I'm now working on a new tool, taking inspiration from Atral, to create a Rust backed version of a popular type of tool most software developers use day to day.
I'm curious, what interesting projects have people been able to accomplish with the use of Claude Code?
