Lift to wake - while driving, screen wakes when accelerating from a stop

I love the "lift to wake" feature - don't have to touch my screen to have it turn on. But I have found, the accelerometer is WAY too sensitive or something. I put my phone in a vent mount and if I have lift to wake turned on and I accelerate from a stop, the screen fully turns on (from OFF or AOD). It's very annoying, because I think I might be getting a notification or something but nope, it's just the terrible accelerometer picking up motion that it shouldn't be. (I mean it's basically already upright in the mount, it's not going from laying flat to upright...)

So, my screen just goes from dark to bright, dark to bright for no REAL reason while driving (yes, my stop/go but that has NOTHING to do with the phone). I have to turn the 'lift to wake' feature off and it's fine.

I don't currently have another comparison Android phone (though I was using my S23U for two years and never noticed this annoyance [my s23u currently has a broken screen]) but I can compare to my iPhone 17 PM - that works perfectly. The AOD stays the same brightness while driving and accelerating from a stop. So it's possible to do. But this Pixel 10 Pro XL...not impressed.

I guess this is more of a rant because there is most likely no fix. But maybe it will help others wondering why their screen keeps turning on while driving (I seen comments in the past related to this but they didn't know why it was happening).
