Is it ok to smoke weed?

I wanna try it, but I also want to make sure im not gonna die lol. Ive already smoked once before, but that was around a year ago, and I just recently (2 weeks ago) got diagnosed with asthma, so I dont really know anything, or how bad I could screw myself over
