Upcoming features for Series 1
Hailie here again from the Fellow team!
We set ambitious goals for Series 1 and there was a lot that we wanted to ship; not everything made it in for launch day so we wanted to take a moment to let everyone know what's around the corner. The next major update is currently in QA, and is focused on bringing profiles into the app. You’ll be able to view and edit profiles on your phone’s larger screen, with added detail on what each profile is doing and why it matters. We’re also including guidance on how different variables shape flavor, plus practical tips for when (and why) you’d adjust them. Other highlights include:
- Fellow Drops roast profiles that automatically sync to Series 1
- Improved scrolling and menu performance
- Grouphead rinse improvements, including an increased flow rate and bug fixes for adjustable duration
- Hot water volume calibration
- Spanish and French language support (more languages coming with international releases)
- Stability fixes and refinements throughout the system
Further down the pipeline, there’s even more in the works - both refinements and new features. In an effort not to get too far ahead of ourselves though we’re only mention some of the updates coming sooner:
- In app
- We’ll continue to create educational content to help guide you through your espresso journey and venture into some of the machine’s more advanced abilities
- New shot profiles to explore and learn from covering everything from modern, light roast styles to classic, traditional espresso
- A maintenance dashboard to help you easily keep on top of cleaning and care for your machine
- On Series 1
- An updated hot water flow that makes it easier to adjust temperature and volume before dispensing has started
- The ability to create and edit drink recipes in the ‘Make a drink’ flow. This will be great for tea drinkers and those who want to use different shot profiles with different drinks
- Reducing excess water usage at startup for less frequent drip tray emptying
- A setting for adjusting your machine’s sleep time (above or below the current 20 minute timing)
We’re really excited to hear how your experience is going and what kind of guides would help you most in your espresso journey. Let us know in the comments how my team and I can best support you guys!
