Stuck in the Recently used little screen in FireStick

When I turn on my TV with FireStick, I am always stuck in the Recently used little screen. I can go from one app to another, but only in the little screen. It is really annoying! The only way I have successfully got out of that little screen is by pressing the Apps button on the remote. Is there an easiest way of getting out of the little screen or, even better, is there a way to never show again that annoying Recently used little screen?
