Resources (books) for cultural identity

I have a client that is interested in credible resources as we work on exploring their cultural identity and experiences with racism. I don't have many books or resources to share, which tells me I need to expand my education on this as well. I'd like to read any books before suggesting them, and the resources don't need to be books but it would be preferred for this client.

Taking thoughts or suggestions on where I should start. TIA
