How do I beat the “evil twink” allegations?

I’ve been told by multiple people that they thought I looked like a mean, antisocial, “evil twink” before they got to know me. Many have also told me they were surprised to find out that I’m “actually really nice and sweet and social”. (Real quote 😭)

It’s begun to really bother me that people assume I’m mean based off my appearance when I try to be as kind and respectful and social with other people as possible. I feel like I might be missing out on connecting with others because they might be intimidated by me.

1. Is this a true stereotype about some twinks? 2) What do you think makes someone look or act like an “evil twink”? 3) How do I beat these assumptions? Or should I not care about people judging me off of looks and not my character?
