[German > English] October 21, 1915 Letter WWI
Sorry, had to resubmit the 2nd and 3rd ones because I accidentally named all the posts the same and it got auto-deleted.
Here is the 2nd letter. Four pages, three images (He was folding paper in half and writing on it like you would write on a card, so it would fit in envelopes and attach to postcards easier in order to mail).
I believe this one is signed by, or regarding, Georg Eckert (I can make that name out at the bottom). He was a soldier who was an orderly with my great-grandfather, who unfortunately took shrapnel to the heart in September 1915 and died. My great-grandfather spoke of him frequently in his journal, and they became very good friends. His passages about Eckert's death are heartbreaking, and he mentions in an entry writing a letter to Eckert's family/fiancée in Bamberg. Since this appears to be dated October of 1915 following Eckert's death, I think it's probably either to or from Eckert's family.
So, hope that context possibly helps!
Thanks in advance!
