Fear of penetration and penis

I have a bf but have never done anything with him as I scared of penetration and I think a penis in general. I am heterosexual and love my bf but I am not ready to do anything yet. I know he wants something and I want to make him happy. I don't know how to overcome my fear though. What can I do? He doesn't know I am scared. All he knows is I am not ready
