According to Scream 7, Jason never drowned.

I’m not sure if this counts as a spoiler, but it’s very minor and doesn’t give anything from the plot away:

“Ghostface” asks an avid Jason fan via the phone “How old was Jason when he drowned?”

The guy does the math, “Mrs. Voorhees was born in 1946, the opening scene takes place in 58, so 11.”

“Wrong.”

“No, that’s impossible. It’s 11!”

It’s a trick question because “Jason never drowned“ (he was alive in 1-4).
