How do the fees of the upcoming VCX listing compare to traditional Venture Capital in the long run?
Hello y'all! I am currently doing some due diligence on different ways to diversify my portfolio. I’ve been looking at the standard "2 and 20" model that most VC firms use (2% management and 20% of the profits).
I am very curious about the Fundrise model, which would spearhead the upcoming VCX listing, which I’ve read is a flat 2.50% management fee with no carried interest. In your experience, does that lack of a "profit cut" make a big difference over a 5 to 10 year horizon? It seems like a huge advantage for the investor, but I am wondering if there are other trade-offs I should be looking at. What is your favorite way to measure "value for money" in a high-growth fund? Thank you so much for your advices!
