Worried EMDR won't work on my self esteem and social anxiety issues

Hi everyone.

Is anyone else worried that EMDR won't work on them? I feel like it's impossible to overcome my self esteem issues, social anxiety, and depression. I also feel like my traumas aren't that bad, even though my therapist told me that if it wasn't that bad then I wouldn't be seeking trauma therapy.

I would appreciate anyone else's personal journey overcoming their self-esteem issues and social anxiety.
