Help w/ Vita

I am fairly new to the vita scene so pardon me if this is either a dumb question or there is not enough information.

I am charging my psvita with the official charger that came with it and it is not powering on. It has a solid orange light and it has been charging for a few days. I’ve replaced the battery with a new one and no luck. The vita shows it is charging yet pressing the power button gives no response. Anyone have any clues or a direction I should go in?

If I need to provide pictures of internals and such I can do that, I just want to know a potential solution :)
