Do Animals feel inferior to crops (aside from pigs) to anyone else?

Maybe I’m just not seeing it properly or maybe I’m misunderstanding. But does it feel to anyone else that making animal products is generally inferior in terms of making money to crops? And if so, how would one possibly balance it out?
