Hopped on the wagon!

Getting Started | Week One

First time poster, please be kind! ๐Ÿ˜…

Bitten the bullet and did a consultation online . picked up my 2.5 mg pen today and pinned.

age: 34

male

height: 180cm (5ft 11)

weight: 108kg (17 st)

quite active, regularly going to the gym and boxing as cardio, quite fit, I aim for 4 sessions a week of exercise. two at the gym, two for boxing, last year daily steps average is 8000, so not sedentary.

the problem is, I can't shift my weight anymore like I used to, I am constantly hungry, even after a good solid meal, 2 hours late I could eat some more.

I have the dad-bod, and i dont like it.

I usually have a large appetite, I always had, but I put it down to the amount of exercise im doing, I'm usually hungrier the days I'm working out which checks out, but not for the last several months. it is constant, like the cupboard is whispering my name, can't stop thinking about food.

The bad:

I work shift work which does not help with food intake

busy with life and young family does not help either

being a stress/emotional eater sometimes does not help either, again my work, night shift, and the people from certain demografics im dealing with.

long time depression sufferer. not on meds anymore, thought the meds were the problem. turns out I don't need them anymore so thats a bonus. the withdrawal from them was a completely different kettle of fish, f. my life.

the good:

did all the blood work, they are fine, including metabolic markers, testosterone. the total cholesterol was on the high threshold, and the estrogen close to the upper range too, which check out, fat(especially visceral) is esteogenic and transforms testosterone in estrogen.

I eat relatively healthy and cook from scratch, I aim to have at least 150 grams of protein a day to maintain and build muscles.

I dont drink much, say a couple of drinks a month.

I dont smoke

I exercise regularly and its integrated in my routine, I am not exercising only if I physically can't(ilness or appointments, or other commitments)

I feel that I lack the will power to say NO to food even when im clearly satisfied after a good consistent meal.

I hope mounjaro will help me with my cravings of food.
