Help with the name “Connor”

My husband and I are trying to pick a name for our first baby (boy). We agreed on Connor, but then got into an argument about spelling. I have always known it to be Connor or Conor, but my husband insists it’s Conner. How would you spell “Connor” in the US?

I would also love any other recommendations that feel like Connor. We previously liked the names Aaron, James, and Evan, but they now feel second to Connor.
