As DCL-ers, help me make the case for why DVC isn't actually a great thing

I met a bunch of DCL Gold/Pearl people and they guak and baulk when people ask them if they are DVC. I have my own personal hatred as I used to work in the dispute industry for timeshares specifically. Regardless of what anyone says, DVC is a timeshare. It is a Disney one, but it is still one.

Those Gold/Pearl castaway members didn't really give reasons why they don't do it, but I wonder what folks think?
