Shittymorph here - I don't do politics, but I do humanity - and I wanted to share my thoughts here. Feel free to correct me if you disagree.
I was born and raised here in good ole USA. I was around 10 years old when cartoons were interrupted after school to announce the start of the Iraq War. I watched the twin towers come down live when I was 21. I watched Afghanistan play out... My entire life has been the United States doing whatever they do in the middle east. I don't claim to know what is good for the people of Iran... but I do smell AstroTurf better than most people. It's thick right now. I wish we did not fund what is happening in the middle east... The math is wild when you look at it. People in this small Oregon town I live in are choosing between groceries and prescriptions - we're watching bridges rot... watching vets and many others sleep outside... - all this while cities and counties are outlawing sleeping outside or in vehicles. Then we watch billions of dollars sent over seas. To me, America First, is not a racist or selfish thing. It's not right or left. It's saying lets take care of home before funding another war. Is that hippie for me to say? Could be... but truly I have the citizens of the United States in my heart and many of us are barely floating... dropping money in the form of warfare elsewhere in the world just doesn't make sense to me. It's disheartening for someone who want's what is best for the USA. Thanks for the read.
