Would you be offended if your daughter in law didn’t want you to get involved in raising her child(your grandchild)?

I have nothing against my partner’s parents, but I don’t agree the way they raised their children. They still use GPS to track their fully grown children, and from my perspective they’re a bit invasive and enmeshed. I want my child to have more freedom than my partner had/has, and I wouldn’t want anyone to give me unwanted advice on how to raise a baby/child. If I need some assistance for whatever reason, I’m planning to hire a babysitter.

How much would you like to be involved in your grandchild/grandchildren’s life? Would you be offended if your son’s gf/wife limited your access to them?
