Posting 45 chapters at once?

Questions/Help?

Hi, so I'm writing a CYOA...

I have broken down the project into phases and mostly figured out the how/when/why of posting new chapters. Unfortunately where I'm landing is that, based on the choices made in chapter 1 + future-proofing against an astronomical wordcount (and much, MUCH more tedious editing process), I will need my "chapter 2" to be roughly 45 chapters long.

So my question is more of a statement: I do not want to fill up my subscribers' inboxes with "YoloBuddy posted a new chapter 'The Part Where He Kills You'" 45 times, and I also do not want to get flagged for spam or suspected as a bot.

Does AO3 have safeguards against people getting absolutely hammered with updates, and how do I stay within that timeframe? (e.g., do I have a time period of 15 minutes or so to post as many chapters as I physically can so the subs get it as more of a digest, or does the system stop alerting after x number of chapters in a given time period, like 24 hours?)

Also, is it likely I will hit some sort of automatic anti-spam consequence for posting that many at once, and would it be worth reaching out to AO3 staff?

(For reference as well, this should be the only time I have to do this, since later installments should not be adding as many chapters at once. But I'm saying that now...)

I CAN break this down into smaller chunks (4-7 chapters at a time), but I would really rather not, because that will mean essentially posting individual routes at separate times and pretty much kill the mystery of which choice leads to which outcome for serial readers. At worst it will also create frustration when readers have to hunt through the first chapter over and over to find out which route the update is coming from, and the next chapter is its own contained, relatively short sequence of events, so I don't think it's worthwhile to update it scene by scene (which also sounds frustrating to read).

Thanks in advance for any insight!
