[Hiring] Looking for a Character artist and/or Concept artist to bring a unique fantasy setting to life

The objective is to explore visually a world building project visually. It's a low-fantasy/Hopepunk setting set in flying islands. It is a more "grounded" (pun intended) take on the setting, concerning itself with sustainability and resource scarcity in such a world.

At its thematical core is a single-seat flying machine that allows the setting to act as a new "Age of Discovery", akin to the great sea voyages of the Renaissance but this time, in service of its community. Making pilots the explorers and heroes of this world.

It is mostly a non-violent setting, with the pressure coming from the dangers of survival, the elements, isolation, etc.

I tried to keep it short here, but there's a bit of a bible behind all of this and giving a visual identity to this setting is the goal, so I'm looking for:

- Character artists that can bring a unique direction to the character concepts in the bible (3-4 main archetypes to explore)
- Background/Concept artists to explore key locations of the setting (again, 3-4 locations to explore)

I prefer non-anime art styles, but am not closed to it. I would prefer artists with a distinct visual style already, but if you have a strong capacity to bring ideas from the moodboards/descriptions and are confident with adding to it, I am interested. The visual style can be a separate job after we have nailed down what stuff looks like in the world.

The project is entirely non-commercial at this stage and entirely a personal/pet project. I already have some concept art - including one for the flying machine, which helps set the tone and that I will share as needed, of course.

Price is variable depending on what you're interested on working on, but from $50 to $200 a piece is the target. I would prefer artists willing to take the time to understand the setting and work on multiple pieces - spending time on exploratory sketches (paid of course) before committing to larger pieces.

But let's start with a piece or two and see if we can have a good working relationship.
