Stopping Your Period Pre-T?

I’ve been on continuous progesterone-only birth control for a month, in the hopes that it would stop my period. That hasn’t happened. I might just be being impatient, but in the event that it doesn’t work, what methods have worked for you guys?

(I’m unable to go on anything with estrogen due to medical reasons, and while a hysterectomy is eventually the goal, I can’t afford it quite yet.)
