The past 3 girlfriends I’ve had, I wanted them to be my life partner. I wanted my most recent ex-girlfriend to be my life partner, and she doesn’t see me as someone she can get married to and doesn’t want to be in a relationship with me because of it.

My girlfriend and I just broke up today. She wants to continue to be in my life, and we have been together for a little over a year. We had a tumultuous beginning, but we always found a way to find solutions to problems, and we apologized every time we had an argument. I can’t say I saw this coming, I was definitely blindsided.

I want to be with someone that’s sure of me for once, but I don’t know if I have another one of those in me.
