[Routine Help] What's an appropriate way to exfoliate while on tretinoin?

Thayer's Aloe Vera face wash -> Laneige Cream Skin toner -> La Roche-Posay SPF/Moisturizer in the morning and Cerave Moisturizer at night -> tretinoin at night is what I currently use

The tretinoin has been causing me to have very dry, flaky skin skin as well as very active sebaceous filaments? or blackheads? i dunno

Problem is a normal scrub now irritates the fuck out of my skin and the flaky skin is back by the next day anyways

I've read mixed things about using BHA and stuff while on tretinoin but I'm assuming at this point it's my best option. My question about this mainly is if it does anything to actually get the dead skin OFF because my main issue is it's staying on my face for some reason even after washing like i really gotta scrub with a rag or sugar scrub to get it off (which again irritates my face a ton)
