I really need some help:

💬 Advice Needed

Hey everyone,👋🏻 I’ve tried time and time again to get my life together and tackle my daily tasks the way I'm supposed to. I’ve read some the usual suspects in the selfhelp aisle (The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and its teens version, Atomic Habits, The Power of Habit... you know the drill). I genuinely tried applying them, and honestly, it paid off ,especially academically. I saw a massive leap in my grades, going from an average student to a top achiever. But here’s my fatal flaw: I am a chronic procrastinator. I always put off studying until the absolute last minute, which forces me to work twice as hard. And it doesn’t stop at academics; it bleeds into everything I do. Even just heading to high school in the morning, I'll drag my feet until the very last second and then have to rush like crazy on the way there. Long story short, I have a lot of habits I really need to fix, but my biggest hurdle is consistency. For example, instead of pacing out a math topic like differentiation or integration over a few days at designated times, I choose to procrastinate until I only have three or four days left, and then cram for 7 hours a day. This creates a huge bottleneck because it leaves me zero time to focus on the important skills that will actually matter after high school. I'm talking about programming and cybersecurity courses that I’ve been meaning to dive into for a year now, yet I haven't even nailed down the basics. Same goes for heavy duty material like (Michael Spivak's Calculus) I’ve been trying to get through it for six months and haven't even made it past the first chapter (Properties of Numbers). I know this is a massive issue, and I’m constantly trying to fix it. I’ve cut out all the digital distractions , I practically don't use social media anymore, and I stay off my phone. Yet, despite all that, I still can't seem to stick to a routine. It leaves me feeling incredibly frustrated and overwhelmed with regret over all the time I've wasted, and am still wasting. I know it's ultimately on me to build my own discipline and get my act together, and I'm trying. I just wanna know: do you guys ever go through phases like this? If so, please let me know how you manage your time and stay flexible through it all. Peace ✌🏻
