What’s going to happen in this case?

So I ordered something for my brother’s birthday but it’s not going to arrive on time. The delivery date was for Monday and it’s Sunday and I still haven’t received the item. Upon checking the tracking, the item was about an hour away and now it’s 6 states over. It’s moving in the opposite direction.

Since it won’t arrive on time, we simply don’t want it anymore. eBay says I can open a item not received claim on Monday, and I plan to. I’m curious what happens after that.
