Maybe this is a dumb question and Spoiler Alert for S5

again..tagging a Spoiler if you haven't watched most of S5..

The question: is it only certain drugs that affect your pupils/eyes. I'm pretty ignorant on the topic but thought that "high" people were mostly given away by the dilation of their pupils and often wondered how no one ever knew Jackie was so high, especially as it escalated..

So in S5, episode 8 (I think), Jackie is out of her tree and doesn't hear "CLEAR" and gets shocked with the defibrillator. When she's being checked over, the doctor is checking her eyes with his pen-light, tells her to just rest etc...Shouldn't he have noticed something with her eyes? Did getting electrocuted SHOCK the drugs out of her?
