10-Year Bet on Myself 5 Cr+ PAT by March 2036

Career

Today I made a decision that honestly feels small… but I know it’s not.

For the last few years, weekends meant drinking. Not because I love alcohol. Not because I’m a party person. But because I had nothing better to do. No bigger mission. No direction. Just escaping boredom.

And that hit me hard.

So from today, weekends are no longer for drinking. They’re for building.

I’m giving myself a target:

By 1st March 2036, I want to be earning ₹5 Cr+ PAT annually.

Not revenue. Profit after tax.

I know that sounds crazy. I’m not from a business family. I’m not some genius. I’m pretty average academically. But I’ve realized something being average for 10 focused years is better than being distracted for 30.

Here’s what I’m committing to:

•	Learning business fundamentals (finance, sales, marketing, operations)

•	Understanding startups deeply (what works vs what looks cool)

•	Studying investors and capital allocation

•	Building something small first, even if it fails

•	Replacing consumption with creation

No more “someday.” No more waiting for perfect timing.

I don’t fully know what the business will be yet. I don’t know if I’ll build one startup or multiple cash-flowing assets. I don’t know if I’ll fail 5 times before something works.

But I do know this:

If I keep doing what I was doing, 2036 will look exactly like 2026.

So this is me putting it out publicly. Not for validation. Not for hype. But for accountability.

If anyone here has taken a similar long-term bet on themselves what did you focus on in your first 1–2 years?

March 2036. ₹10 Cr+ PAT.

Let’s see what discipline for a decade can do.
