Players are mad they actually have to learn the game for it to be fun.

as the second day of the server slam I have been playing a bunch and had more fun then the first day. once you really start learning the game actually enjoying it becomes much easier. but I'm starting to notice a reoccurring theme with opinions and this game compared to how much they actually invest into the game.

first off Ive seen countless people claim that the more they played the more they started to enjoy playing. lots even say they didn't like the game but it grew on them. I feel the reason for this is lots of the game mechanics are built around play time and progression. and I think this has a correlating effect on those who only gave it a hour or two before forming an opinion.

one point I feel is the tier of loot scales a lot further in this game then then others (mainly arc). this difference between grey to green equipment and guns is very noticeable and with there being 5 loot tiers the difference between a "full kit" and a free kit is miles apart especially comparing to arc raiders where only really the shield or mag size imo makes any difference in a fight.

also there multiple upgrade progression trees that drastically change the way you play. there are upgrades for sprint speed, health regen time, reload speed, counter buffs, and even special upgrades like double jumps or speed boosts. many are complaining about things like movement or gear before even reaching these upgrades before giving there opinion.

I can go on. there are a lot of valid critiques and criticism on this game but to me it seem like lots of players are not understanding or refusing to take this game beyond the surface level and I think that is why so many people are complaining about the game. all the systems are built to be a slow climb from beginner to meta and made so you really have to understand and invest into this game to get the full intended experience this game is trying to offer.

short summary is actually progress through the games systems and progression areas while the game is still free.
