Rental move out question

Hi everyone, I just moved out of an apartment where I lived for more than 7 years & got this message from management: "any charges determined when we do the move-out walkthrough, with our without you, including the costs of repairs and re-painting, will be listed as deductible against your security deposit."

I'm just looking for feedback on this, particularly charging me to repaint the place after 7 years?
