Rushing People

This is my first season playing ladder but I've been around since release. I was messing around today helping folks through fast normal acts but I'm on a ps5 so I don't seem to be able to chat.

I'm wondering if there is an ettiquette expected from rushers, like should I be finding every waypoint and dropping portals, should I be clearing all quests etc. or do people expect me just to rip straight to the act boss and clear it? Am I supposed to walk them through the acts?

Ran someone through act II and eventually I just had to leave, they wouldn't bring the staff to open the way to duriel after I trial and error found the right tomb. Can't help but feel I'm not helping the way folks are expecting.
