Richfield Seven Hills Preperatory Academy

Wondering if anyone whose child attends or is somehow connected to the school could share their experience? We are short on the waitlist for the Richfield location, and strongly considering admission if it works out. We’ve been seeking schools that are low to no tech, and the Montessori he is currently attending is wayyyyy too unstructured for him. We moved to Minneapolis recently, and he really loved and thrived in his kindergarten, which had a dress code, and a lot of rigor. Seems like the only non-alternative options that are low tech are charter.

I’ve so far only heard one negative account of the school from someone online who expressed that their son was targeted in class for very minor things like not making eye contact with the teacher. That they were tracking his eyes, and that he was punished and shamed when he didn’t focus.

Is it an accurate take? I think my kid would fare better in a place that errs on holding kids accountable, but their account sounds really extreme. I’ve not been able to glean much else online.
