R&C segments that won’t make sense to me (part one)

Before going to maktar resorts, the game take me the level Wupash Nebula and it said “you are under attack! Shoot down the ships!” Of course this is our basic ship combat controls to fight but. Where did the ships came from? Why do I have to fight it? Who sent the ships out? And why there’s no cutscene that explains the level going to Wupash Nebula?

What do you think about this? Should they have more details of it? Or maybe this is a me thing.
