Is it possible to go from coloured black hair to a no bleach brown?

Hello everyone! I had a bleached, blonde balayage and Summer 2025 my hairstylist coloured it back to my root colour (dark, dark, dark brown. Basically black). I think she used permanent colour.

I've been seeing videos online that it's possible to achieve brunette with no bleach. I'm just wondering it that would be possible for me with my situation? My hair stylist said I'd have to bleach my hair again, and I really don't want to so if that is the case I will just grow my hair until I can cut off the bleached ends. Which will probably take a year or two haha. I'm wondering if I should reach out to other hairstylists who have done the no bleach brunette before.
